For it’s 20th anniversary, The Florida in Agen invited EZ3kiel for a 4 day art residency program to work with Chapelier Fou, Egyptian Project, Procussions, Hidden Orchestra…
For this special evening, Yann Nguema of EZ3kiel had imagined a project based on a 3D 7x4m screen placed above the stage and made of 1311 card tetrahedrons. It took one day for the team of volunteers to put these pre-cut tetrahedrons in place. Inspired by AntiVj and Joanie Lemercier’s work, this project gave the opportunity to explore the wonderful possibilities offered by the combination of mapping, interactive projections and a laser, inviting us to a new experience with these visuals far different from EZ3kiel’s traditional Imagery. Between installation and live performance, this system accompanied the different bands’ concerts throughout the anniversary evening. The whole set, encoded in C++ with Cinder framework by Yann Nguema, was entirely interactive and controlled in real time. The result turned out to be very dynamic, graphical, aesthetic, and previously unseen, offering great potential for the future.
Many thanks to all the volunteers who took part in it’s making and to Arnaud Doucet and Jessy Laurent for the lighting effects.
