Ce titre rend hommage aux dimensions hors normes de la cathédrale Saint-Pierre de Beauvais. Ses concepteurs avaient l’ambition d’en faire la plus grande cathédrale gothique de France. Pour ses 800 ans et ce projet va mettre en lumière et en poésie les caractéristiques les plus marquantes de son histoire.
Sous la forme d’un poème visuel et musical, une dizaine de tableaux construits sur le dessin manuel de l’intégralité des pierres de la cathédrale évo-queront son histoire et l’imaginaire qu’elle suscite.

This title pays tribute to the extraordinary scale of Saint-Pierre Cathedral in Beauvais. Its architects aimed to make it the largest Gothic cathedral in France. To mark its 800th anniversary, this project will highlight the most striking features of its history in a poetic manner.
Taking the form of a visual and musical poem, around ten scenes, based on hand-drawn sketches of every single stone in the cathedral, will evoke its history and the imagination it inspires.
